PSU64
More than 30 years old are meanwhile the original power supplies from Commodore, which came with the C64. Many of the power supplies are cast in epoxy and therefore not repairable in case of failure. Because of the high age, errors of the power supply (e.g. too high output voltage) become more and more possible and could damage the C64. The PSU64 is a stable and above all safe alternative power supply for the C64. It has a very high quality double transformer and can be equipped with different step-down switching regulators for the 5VDC. For further protection, there are fuses on the board for the input and both output voltages, which switch off the current in case of a failure.

Aufgrund des hohen Alters werden Fehler des Netzteils (z.B. zu hohe Ausgangsspannung) immer wahrscheinlicher und könnten den C64 beschädigen. Das PSU64 ist eine kostengünstige, stabile und vor allem sichere Alternative Stromversorgung für den C64. Es besteht aus einem qualitativ sehr hochwertigem Doppel-Transformator und kann mit unterschiedlichen Step-Down Schaltregeln für die 5VDC bestückt werden. Zur weiteren Absicherung befinden sich sowohl für die Eingangs- als auch beiden Ausgangsspannungen Schmelzsicherungen auf der Platine, die im Fehlerfall den Strom abschalten.
